With the transfer window period in full-swing, Ajax Cape Town have added Prince Nxumalo and Thomas Chideu to their squad.

The Urban Warriors announced their new signings after the duo underwent assessment under the watchful eye of coach Roger De Sa.

Nxumalo was previously on the books of FC Cape Town in the NFD as well as SuperSport United while the Zimbabwean previously teamed up for Highlanders back at home and impressed De Sa during his trial.

In a statement released by the Parow-based outfit, CEO Ari Efstathiou said they welcome the duo to their squad.

“We welcome both Prince and Thomas into the Ajax family. They are both great additions to our squad,” said the CEO.

“I’m sure our Ajax fans will warm up to them very quickly as both players will contribute immensely to our attack force. I have no doubt that they will both succeed at Ajax Cape Town.”

Chideu spent some time in England where he was involved in a schools exchange programme and he opted to pursue a move to Ajax instead as he joins his fellow countryman in Milton Ncube, who also joined the Urban warriors from Highlanders a few seasons ago.

Meanwhile, Nxumalo’s addition is seen by the club as a great addition based on his terrific element by means of his pace, power and immense work ethic.
