Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak believes Frenchman Yohan Cabaye will bring a lot to the club this season and explains why manager Alan Pardew is the right leader for this club.
Jedinak and his Palace teammates face SuperSport United in Friday night's opening game of the Cape Town Cup at Cape Town Stadium. Kick off is at 17h45.
"Cabaye has played at a very high level and is an international as well. He will bring his experience, knowledge and ability to the game. It has been a pleasure so far to work with him.
"We hope we will see the best of him in the future and hopefully he can put his mark on this team."
About the Palace manager, the skipper said: "I think he (Pardew) has put his stamp on things in a very organised way.
"He gets involved in the training sessions and is always around and as players we know what he wants.
"He is very clear with what he expects from us. He gives us that message very clearly and we, as players, have been able to take that on board.
"It does not work one way, but you need it working both ways and we have a great group of players here who want to listen, learn and who want to do well and take this club forward."
After the SuperSport-Palace game, Ajax Cape Town will face Sporting Clube de Portugal in the 20h15 kick off. On Sunday there will be a third place playoff followed by the Final.
